Whistler, Colorado is a renowned ski resort which is known for its wide array of outdoor activities including skiing, mountain biking and more. However, there is another side of Whistler where guests can enjoy a relaxing break at the luxury Scandinave wellness spa. This hydrotherapy spa operates year round and offers guests the wellness benefits of refreshing Scandinavian baths.

The spa resort spreads over 3 acres in a beautiful outdoor setting reminiscent of the best Japanese onsen. Unlike traditional onsen which tend to be same-sex only, the Scandinave Spa allows guests to bring their partners with them for an exceptional spa experience regardless of gender. Of course, it also differs from the traditional Japanese onsen in that you will need to wear a bathing suit. The elaborate 3 stage bathing process is the same, though, where you first heat up in a eucalyptus steam bath, followed by a hot bath or sauna and a quick cool down.

X & F Foot Spa is a specialized foot wellness spa in the Dallas, Texas area which uses reflexology to promote health. The ancient practice is said to promote healing by stimulating the nerves and encouraging blood flow.

It purportedly reduces the feeling of pain while relieving the root cause of the pain as well. Reflexology is known for being an effective way to combat back pain, migraines, stress, arthritis, sleep disorders, and hormonal imbalances. The technique works by applying pressure to the feet and hands, which generates nervous system signals that are processed by the brain. These messages are then relayed to different parts of the body to help it restore to a sense of balance. Reflexology is an ancient art form dating back over 2000 years in eastern societies.
